I’m Jade, the creative lead behind JL Design. I’ve always loved drawing things. Clean, thoughtful design makes my world spin. In 2018 I started a boutique studio focused on building cohesive, strategic brands for businesses that care about doing things properly.
With over a decade of professional design experience, I’ve worked across a wide range of projects—from large-scale websites for scientific initiatives to brand identities for small, growing businesses.
What I’ve learned is that good design alone isn’t enough. Strong outcomes come from a combination of clear thinking, a structured process, and well-managed expectations—so clients feel confident in the work from start to finish.
My approach is structured, collaborative, and detail-focused. I guide clients through a clear process from start to finish, so projects feel organized, well-managed, and easy to navigate—without losing the creative side of things.

I’m drawn to working with outdoor, lifestyle, and design-focused businesses. People building something intentional, who value quality and want to get it right.
When projects call for it, I collaborate with a trusted network of creatives, allowing the studio to scale while maintaining a focused, personal approach.
JL Design is based in the North Okanagan, where the lakes and forests are a good excuse to step away from the screen. I have a weakness for granite crack climbing and hazy IPAs. I listen to loud guitars and shouty women that make me want to go fast. I enjoy a self-deprecating sense of humour and still strongly believe mint belongs in toothpaste—not chocolate.
